  • Muslims are taught through the Qu’ran that all animals should be treated with respect and be well cared for. Our slaughter men are highly trained to carry out the slaughter under strict welfare conditions.
  • All animals are to be alive & healthy at the point of slaughter
  • All slaughtering is to be carried out by hand, by a Muslim
  • The animals are slaughtered with a swift incision to the throat from a razor-sharp blade while reciting the Tasmiyah.
  • Any flowing blood from the carcass is completely drained.
  • The meat must be handled diligently to prevent any cross-contamination with haram products.

Freemans Newent Ltd

Freemans Newent produces and supplies red meat and halal products to outlets, restaurants, and shops. Its slaughterhouse is certified, and its products are halal.

Peri peri Halal Chicken

An HFA spokesman said: “The Halal Food Authority certifies ‘recoverable’ stunning.
